Mechanical Design Engineer Intern

The Role

Guided by Senior Engineers and Designers, you will assist our team with all aspects of our product development projects — team design sessions, sketching, CAD, prototyping and testing, conceiving of mechanical/technical product design solutions and working the concepts up to full engineering detail. You will be joining us at a really exciting and challenging period of growth, where ability to learn, high motivation and an exceptional attitude may lead to a full-time job in the future.

You Are:

• An undergraduate or postgraduate Mechanical Engineering student (or studying a similar degree)
• Motivated and passionate about exceptional product engineering
• A tenacious problem-solver who is technically and mechanically creative
• Flexible and cross-disciplined with attention to detail
• Hard-working, self-motivated and you enjoy meeting goals and challenges

You Have Evidence of:

• Excellent English (especially listening and speaking)
• A relevant engineering degree (or product design engineering degree)
• High ability with mechanical concepts, new design ideas and solutions to design problems
• Ideally, skills in 3D CAD and engineering drawings, prototyping and testing, knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
• Skills in manual sketching and communicating your ideas

The Internship:

• Starting as soon as possible, ideally full-time although we are flexible around your studies
• At least until Chinese New Year, possibly longer if we are pleased with your performance
• You will be paid a salary and lunch allowance
• Office location is Bridge 8 on Jumen Road, Huangpu District. Close to Lu Ban Road and South Xi Zang Road on Subway Line 4
